I am back online. However, I don't know how long that will last. Anywhoo, let's not waste any more precious time.
A while back I went out to dinner with Shanequa, Dawana, and Dexter. We all decided meet up again and have a little get together at Bahama Mama. I wasn't sure what to wear but then it hit me (right on time as always). A turban! Wear it like they wore it back in the days of Poiret. Needless to say, the search was on. I searched high and low for a store that would possibly be fashion forward enough to have turbans, but affordable enough for me to pay the light bill. LOL (just a little bit of humor)
Sadly, there were no turbans to be found. Just as I was about to give up, I thought "wait a minute, why not make my own turban using a scarf." This way I could just use a scarf I already had and save money. So I searched the internet for instructions on how to do so, and I found this interesting video tutorial. It was extremely helpful...
Ta-daaa!! My turban isn't nowhere near as neat as his but it was sufficient enough. I wanted to put a feather brooch on it, but, alas I could not find one of those either.
I absolutely love this shirt from Forever 21. It is so clever with the zip-sleeves. Pair it with some shorts and you get a bit of an African model look going on. Of course, I don't look anything like a model. (*sigh* to be insanely beautiful, and rich)
I love this pose. I felt like flying. It must have been the feather necklace. Ignore the bag of trash in the background. I couldn't crop it out without chopping off my leg.
That pearl ring, that pearl ring, what else can I say but, that pearl ring.
Scarf/Turban: Target
Zip-Sleeve Blouse: Forever 21

Til next time,
Dismissed!
