Welcome to the Peacock Revolution

There is a war going on. A war against machoism. What is machoism? Machoism, as defined by myself, is the belief that in order to be a man in today's society one should be a dirty, grungy, obtuse, hairy, bare-knuckle dragging, neandertal. No more! I am declaring war on machoism. This blog will forge a revolution. A Peacock Revolution!

Today, I'm doing another "Capture that Item" post (this is fun).  This time it is from Cole Haan.  Seriously, I swear I'm obsessed with them!!  Anywho, I stumbled across these lovely green boaters...

Cole Haan Air Yacht Club Boat.  Retailing for $148, this isn't a bad price for a cute good quality shoe.

It also doesn't hurt that the shoe is Emerald green, my favorite shade of green.  Of course the name of the color on the website is Amazon green.

The shoe comes in other colors as well if green is not your thing.  This color in particular is called Chili Pepper.

Visit the Cole Haan website if you want to grab a pair of these lil beaut's.

*sigh* I'm in love with Cole Haan...

Killer Boots!

Greetings mavens of style,

So last time I was telling you guys that I was returning the boots I got from Claire's. So I asked my good friend Shanequa over at Fashion Pad to find me some grunge boots that looked badass. Needless to say, this amazing individual found me two of the cutest shoes from Overstock.

As soon as she found these, I ordered them right away! I got the last pair of size 10 grey! Whew! That was a close one.

I love this pair as well. I am going to order a size 10 of these babies in black. Can't freakin wait!

As you can see, Shanequa is amazing at finding great items at a great price! (did I mention that the price for both shoes is $54.99) If you guys ever need to find something head on over to Fashion Pad and shoot her an e-mail.

Made for Walking

Greetings stylish mavens,

I was back on 6pm searching for shoes. Boy, I really need to up my shoe game! It's really sad it only consists of chuck's, gladiator sandals, and oxfords. So, I really started wanting some fly ass boots.

As always I am never disappointed by 6pm, I love them. So I searched the sight and came across these beauties...

They are like some cute little buccaneer boots or something like such. When I laid eyes on them, I immeadiately ordered them. I can't wait until I get them. Hopefully they fit...

Saddle Up!

Hello there fellow style mavens,

I remember when I was little, and when we stayed at our old house. We had about six beautiful horses. Of course, we only rode one, and that was because he was tame, while the others pretty much grew up wild. However, they would let us feed them and touch them. My favorite horse was Pocahantas (I named her myself). She was a beautiful brown horse, and I always wanted to ride on her and trot along in true equestrian fashion. One day I will be able to do that.

That story no matter how romantic unfortunately has nothing to do with this post except for the word saddle. That's right you guessed it...

SADDLE SHOES!!! Yay!! I love saddle shoes. They take me back to a time where milkshakes were called malts, bowling alleys were the place to be, and guys rocked leather jackets like there was no tomorrow. *sigh* The New Look Period was undoubtedly chic.  Anywhoo, let me stop prattling on like a school girl. I found these classics over at Cole Haan for only $198. Of course being from Cole Haan it is made out of quality leather but also...

This fabulous beauty comes in brown. Magnificent!

So swing on over to Cole Haan and make some malt shop memories with these wardrobe staples.

Lavish Loafers

Hello style mavens,

Only ten more days until the first day of spring. I am jumping with anticipation as fall and winter weren't so good for me. Oh well, that is another story for later. So, recently I was looking for shoes on 6pm.com. Shoes are so important for my upcoming spring look and all I have is one pair. 6pm.com is the place to go for gorgeous shoes, and I have always had them on my mind since I found those powerful gladiator sandals for only $16. Of course, I wasn't disappointed as I stumbled across these...

I am in absolute love with these shoes. The color is stunning, and they are the perfect look to complete my spring look. The brand is Donald J. Pliner a brand known for exceptional quality with an architectural feel. I simply cannot wait to order them. The price of $48 is insane and I love it!! Love 6pm.com. Head on over there and check it out.

Some Stylish Shoes

Hello style mavens,

Today is all about the shoes.  Sometimes people don't understand the power of a good shoe.  Shoes are the foundation of a good outfit, and if the foundation has a crack in it... well you get the picture. I decided to go spelunking for a great pair of shoes on ol' reliable (the internet). Then I remembered walking through Mall at Millenia and always looking in the window of this neat little store. Of course the name of the store is Allen Edmonds, and the shoes are always so enticing begging me to come in; however, they are probably expensive... DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! One day...

There is no doubting the question of: Are these shoes chic? Damn straight! Usually, when I look at the bottom of a shoe I prefer the lines to be sharp and clean, but I love the softness of the bottom of these Cap-toe Oxfords. They are known as the Winhall, featuring woven calf and a full leather lining. A full leather lining! It doesn't get any better than that. How luxurious?! The shoe comes in both black and chili(featured above). Sporting a price tag of $325 these shoes are worth every penny.

Stompin' Around

So I ended the last post with a notion of boots.  Since, we are still have wet muggy weather and the ground is still wet, let me continue with the weatherproof theme and see if I can find some killer boots.  When I was searching over at Kenneth Cole, I came across this little section that was all about rubber boots.  100% of the proceeds on the sale of these boots goes to The AWEARNESS Fund to support amfAR.org. This website supports the research of HIV/AIDS. With that being said, I went over to check out some of the boots. I must say that these aren't your average rainboots...

Ok, so I am starting off strong. I found these little baddies first. I love the buckle detailing. Best Part- they are only $98!

This is the Midnight Rain Rubber Boot. It features a croc-embossed pattern. Price-$98

I love the antique brown color of these boots. They emanate equestrian chic, and for only $198 these boots will have you feeling like your 5'4 and 110lbs and ride an animal named Seabiscuit! LOL

Now, when I glanced at these steel colored dreams, I knew I had fallen in love.  Sporting a 15" shaft, these boots are adorned with buckles everywhere and I love it! Price-$198

To find these boots head on over to http://www.kennethcole.com/. It is totally worth it, especially for those of you who live in places with wet or snowy weather. Don't worry these boots are rubber and can take the punishment. It also doesn't hurt that buying these boots will support a good cause.
